Disable Minimize and Maximize Animations
1. Click on the Start Menu and type SystemPropertiesPerformance and hit Enter.
2. On the Visual Effects tab uncheck Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.
3. Click OK.

    A. Completely useless unless you leave Vista as-is rater than changing it to the much more useful classic menu. B. What I really want to know is how to prevent this settignfrom beign changed back without my permission.
