This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action
This usually occurs when you don't have the application installed to open the file. For example Microsoft Word to open .DOC.
If you are sure you have the application installed, right click the file and choose the application under opens with.

Because EVERY file I try to open gives me this message! Vista blows! I've had nothing but issues since I installed it.

This occurs on at least one other circumstance. If Bitlocker is not available then the same message appears for the Microsoft games. But there is no option available nor any explanation.
